What if I offered to enjoy chocolate brownies today, accompanied by a creamy custard


You can do it your way, add dried fruit, etc. … I simply made it with nuts and accompanied by a custard.

This brownie will delight your guests whether for a snack or as a dessert to finish a good meal. Come on, let's go to the kitchen!

I have my rectangular mold that I had on hand

it is 28 cm long and 23 cm wide and the proportions are suitable for this mold

For the brownie:

  • 220g butter
  • 300g dark chocolate
  • 220g caster sugar
  • 220g flour
  • 5g baking powder or bicarbonate
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 100g nuts (or other dried fruits…)

For the custard:

  • 50 cl whole milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean

Step 1

In a saucepan, bring milk to a boil


Step 2

Meanwhile, whisk the egg yolks, powdered sugar and vanilla bean seeds together in another container.


Step 3

When the milk is hot, gradually pour it over the egg mixture while whisking.

Return the custard to a medium heat to finish cooking.


Step 4

Mix gently with a wooden spoon until the custard becomes more consistent and the spoon is coated.

Remove the custard from the heat and pour into another container.

Cover and cool in the fridge.


Step 5

Preheat the oven to 180oC. (Th6)


Step 6

Melt the butter and chocolate, break into pieces, in the microwave.

In another container, whisk eggs and sugar without whitening


Step 7

Mix the chocolate and butter to smooth the appliance, then add it to the eggs.

Then add the flour and baking powder. Mix.

Break the nuts into pieces and add them to the appliance.


Step 8

Pour into the pan and bake for about 15 to 18 minutes depending on your ovens

Allow to cool before serving with custard. or just with a glass of milk for example

This time I didn't add any nuts
